You can now pay for Blake2b hashrate with XBT
XBT is now a payment option on TideHash. If you already hold XBT, you can pay for a Blake2b hashrate rental directly on the XBT network, without swapping to another coin first. This page explains how it works and what to watch out for.
Send only on the XBT (Bitcoin Blake2b) network. Coins sent from the SHA-256 Bitcoin (BTC) network or any other chain can't be recovered. XBT and BTC addresses look the same, so a wrong coin can't be detected before you send.
What's new
In the order form, under "Pay with", you'll now see XBT labelled "XBT · Bitcoin (Blake2b)". Pick it, place your order as usual, and the order page shows where to send the XBT. It works for new orders and for top-ups of a running order (more time, more TH/s or a higher bid).
How an XBT payment works
- Place your order. Choose speed, duration and your price per TH/day, enter your pool, and select XBT. The minimum order is still $10, and the minimum speed is 1 TH/s.
- Get your own address. Every payment gets a fresh XBT address that is used for that one payment only. It's never reused for another order or another top-up. Reloading the page shows the same address for the same payment.
- Send the exact amount. The order page shows the exact XBT amount, the address and a QR code. The USD price is converted at the current XBT rate, and that amount is locked for 60 minutes.
- Wait for 3 confirmations. Your payment is seen as soon as it is in a block. After 3 confirmations, usually about half an hour on XBT, it counts as paid.
- Your order starts automatically. Nobody needs to check it by hand. Hashrate is routed to your pool right away, and the order page shows the progress.

Tips for a smooth payment
- Send the full amount in one transaction. Make sure the address receives the full amount shown. Some wallets take the network cost out of the amount you send, so check that setting first.
- Pay within the 60 minutes. A payment that arrives late or short isn't lost. The order waits for a check by our support, and you can reach us at [email protected] with your order number.
- Use a wallet for the XBT chain. If you aren't sure your wallet is on XBT, read What is XBT? first.
- Keep your private order link. It shows the payment status, and later the delivered hashrate. If you entered an email address, you also get a note when the order starts.
